FC Dallas midfielder Guarda fined by MLS

05/20/2010 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee fined FC Dallas midfielder Bruno Guarda $750 on Thursday for kicking a ball into the crowd and making an offensive gesture during halftime of Saturday's game against Philadelphia Union.

FC Dallas has decided to issue the player a one-game suspension, which will be served Thursday against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

While Guarda did not appear in the game, he was a member of the 18-man roster for the Dallas match against Philadelphia. At halftime, Guarda kicked a ball into the stands and made the gesture at the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

The action was not seen by the officiating crew and Guarda did not receive any discipline at the match. After reviewing the incident, the MLS Disciplinary Committee issued a $750 fine for the offense.
